BANÜ Graduation 22 Happened With All the Enthusiasm

The graduation ceremony of our university, which could not be held for two years due to the Covid-19 epidemic, took place on Saturday, July 2, at 18.00 with great enthusiasm. Tolga Tosun, Head of Justice Commission Mehmet Tarakçı, Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. Alpaslan Serel, Prof. Dr. Feyzullah Temurtaş and Prof. Dr. Celalettin Yanık, our Secretary General Cihangir Boz, provincial and district protocol, representatives of our political parties and non-governmental organizations, academic and administrative staff, members of the press, students and parents attended.

During the preparations for the ceremony, the music group of our University Music Ensemble presented a musical feast to our students and guests with their lively and entertaining songs. The program, which started with the ceremonial parade of our graduates accompanied by a flag and pennant, continued with a moment of silence and folk dance performances after our National Anthem was sung. In the protocol speeches that followed the opening speech, Bandırma Mayor Av. Tolga Tosun, Deputy Mayor of Balıkesir Metropolitan Municipality Mehmet Birol Şahin and Balıkesir Governor Hasan Şıldak made speeches and expressed their feelings and opinions about the graduation ceremony.

After the speeches, a ceremony of putting a plaque on the log was held on behalf of all our graduates, who graduated from our faculties and vocational schools with the first place. In the 2021-2022 academic year, our Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Department student Şevval Kurum, who graduated from our University and Faculty of Health Sciences with the first place, expressed his excitement and happiness in his speech on behalf of our faculty and vocational high school graduates and congratulated all graduate students.

Later in the program, awards and plaques were presented to our students who ranked high. In the academic years of 2019-2020, 2020-2021 and 2021-2022, the students who completed our university with the first place received their plaques and awards from the Governor of Balıkesir Hasan Şıldak, while the second place plaques and awards were presented to our Rector Prof. Dr. Süleyman Özdemir, and the third place plaques and awards were presented by the 6th Main Jet Base Commander Air Pilot Brigadier General Selahattin Akalp. The students who graduated from their faculties and vocational schools with honors were also presented with plaques and awards by the members of the protocol.

After the plaque and award presentations, the deans, principals, department heads, faculty members, academic and administrative staff of the graduating units went to our students to present their graduation certificates. After the documents were presented, a beautiful souvenir photo was taken, in which all our students held up their graduation certificates.

Our graduation ceremony, which took place with a very intense participation and great enthusiasm, was attended by our Rector Prof. Dr. It ended with the countdown and musical accompaniment by Süleyman Özdemir, excitedly throwing his caps into the air. This beautiful moment when hundreds of caps were floating in the air was immortalized with photo and video shoots.
